Our Story

The Baristas’ Shed café was an idea brought to life by owner Matt Hargreaves. Wanting to bring a city café style to the heart of Western Sydney giving the experience that customers once had to travel across the city for.

Opening in November 2016, The Baristas’ Shed has been a place for people to meet, share memories with and of course drink some of the finest coffee, eat delicious meals making it an iconic café for Western Sydney, winning the Blacktown Local Business Awards in 2019.

In 2018 The Baristas’ Shed teamed up with Black Drum Roasters to create a coffee blend that would have exceptional taste and give the big coffee brands a run for their money. Now wholesaling to hospitality venues and businesses requiring coffee.

Adventuring into new territory, The Baristas’ Shed is now open on Friday & Saturday nights from 6pm with their new Italian concept restaurant ‘The Baristas’ Shed Italiano’ from May 2020 in the midst of COVID-19, bringing another cuisine to Marsden Park. Since opening at night it has been a local favourite and dinner destination for pasta lovers.

OUR COFFEE BLEND

Created and roasted between owner Matt Hargreaves and Black Drum Roasters in 2018. The aim was to roast an iconic blend that would taste great as a black and milk based coffee. Sourcing only the highest quality beans from Ethiopia, South America & Central America making a rich, sweet and balanced cup.

As an espresso, you will find flavours of dark chocolate with sea salt and pleasant, soft fruitiness of grape. When combining the espresso with milk, expect the dark chocolate to mix the sweetness of the steamed milk to create flavours of choc-malt with a touch of sea salt.

Our baristas are expertly trained to ensure every cup made is the best coffee possible to enjoy in store. When purchasing our coffee beans in store we can also grind the coffee to a specific fineness for alternative brewing for your pleasure.
